Relaxing on an island in the Mekong Delta
When you've been in Saigon for a while you may want a break.
A break from the noise, the perpetual motion and the uber busyness of the city. So you travel to the Mekong Delta which is close to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and refreshingly quiet for the most part.
It's the beating rural heart of Vietnam producing a large share of the rice crop as well as other crops.
It's best if you like water. Where I traveled, you could only get to your homestay by ferry. That was fun though.
