This is the first video of a series on Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City. It has two names because it was renamed by the victorious North Vietnam government. Maybe someday it will be reduced to one name.
i think you will sense my love of the cityin this video but on my first of three visits I did not appreciate its vibrant atmosphere. I thought it was extremely noisy, crowded and polluted. It still is but I did not understand its basic dynamism.
It seems to be a city where anything can happen, where people work very hard and also where where people enjoy their city.
